Voyages of sailing boat La Bamba
Wednesday, 17 July
We left peaceful Gilleleje with our bellies full of prawns and motored on a very flat sea with grey skies to Copenhagen.
I have a tradition of writing sailing / stopover limericks that get entered into the ship’s log
So here are all our Swedish ones!
In Uddevalle the skies were quite grey
Looks like we’re in for a blustery day!
La Bamba was gleaming
We all started beaming
We cast off and soon sailed away

In the morning Sam went for a swim, David fixed things on the boat and Alex and I enjoyed a pleasant walk across the island to the ‘main town’ and ferry port and round the South of the island along a lovely woodland path in the nature reserve.

The day promised sea breezes and we set off down the rock strewn channel looking forward to a South Westerly cruise to the little island of Vrango just South of Gothenburg.
