September Limericks

On Chesil Beach we walked in a gale

Pebbles? There’s bale upon bale

The ones that we found

Were so smooth and round

So glad that we didn’t sail!

Dittisham shone bright in the sun

We walked, Zigzagged, had fun

In Stoke Gabriel grew

A thousand year yew

Where we wished peace for everyone

To Salcombe we sailed without care

And moored outside Penny’s timeshare

Ate very good croissants

Gazed views with a passion

Can’t wait til the next time we’re there

At Brixham there’s a big fishing fleet

Catching fish that we so like to eat

There’s an ancient rock bed

Up on Berry Head

And the Red Roses victory was sweet

At Lyme Regis Mary Anning did dwell

And our anchor held on pretty well

We stayed on our boat

Quite happy afloat

It was calm with a bit of a swell
