I have a tradition of writing sailing / stopover limericks that get entered into the ship’s log
So here are all our Swedish ones!

In Uddevalle the skies were quite grey
Looks like we’re in for a blustery day!
La Bamba was gleaming
We all started beaming
We cast off and soon sailed away

From Henån we practiced our sailing
(In a window when it wasn’t raining!)
With Simon to help us
There was no hiatus
Just pure pleasure and confidence gaining

We arrived in Marstrand Port
Where the finger was far too short
David drove in
After one extra spin
And our lines were helpfully caught

Sailing swift on the breeze to Vrångö
That small island that doesn’t rhyme with tango
We ate many a dish
From a menu of fish
Well fed we skipped the fandango!

Dronsö shone bright in the sun
Was there wind? Not a bit – there was none
We swam in the sea
Had BBQ tea
Here’s hoping there’s more breeze to come!

To Varberg Skipper David was silly
He barber-hauled with his handy billy
Then lay in the boom
With Park Avenue room
While La Bamba skipped on like a filly

Off Varberg conditions were fruity
Our big boom was shaking her booty
But we got in our reef
Through our gritted teeth
And La Bamba sped off like a beauty

Torekov has a Saint with a rock
And top restaurants surrounding the dock
We had sunshine and rain
Watched England v Spain
The result? Well it wasn’t a shock
